This is a book I wish had been given to me in late high school. It would have saved some pain, and might’ve helped me develop a more balanced view of the world.

Most introductory economics books that I’ve read tend to lean far to the political right, which ultimately turn me off. Wheelan takes a very different approach by showing us the value of Government intervention (limited), while demonstrating the virtue of the free market.

I’d happily recommend this to anyone else out there looking for a well delivered explanation of basic economics in a turbulent world.
