i expected this to be a lot funnier too, but sacha baron cohen’s characters humor rely on his ability to get a rise out of people. thats why exposure is the worst thing for him, because as Ali G or Bruno or Borat, he was relying on his anonymity and on people’s desire to be on tv. release forms for television are far less binding and prohibitive than for a film, and it would be more difficult to get people to agree to be in a movie than on tv.
