When I was in high school, I went on a trip to Europe the summer before my senior year. I’d never had a drink in my life, and I wasn’t around people who drank growing up, so I was a little hesitant to try anything.

When we got to Florence, we all got drink vouchers at this club, so I decided to have a drink. Just one. I’m in Europe. I’m experimenting. I’m not going to get drunk. It’s okay.

Of course, I have no idea what to order, so I get what my friend in front of me orders. “Long Island Iced Tea…. That sounds like a girlie drink. It couldn’t be that strong, right?”

Yeah. Right.
