While I enjoyed the first part of the book (with the beautiful anguish and pain of the main character), I would have been very disappointed if that’s all of the book there was. I felt I could relate to Oraul, bringing up her charge against the gods out of foolishness; however, I found the second part of “Till We Have Faces” to be the most interesting and personal. It reminded me a lot of Christ and what He went through after our desertion of Him (blessed and worshipped by His people one week and “sacrificed” the next) and all of all of the suffering He endured so we could be reconciled with God. It really humbled me. I enjoyed it a lot!
