I’m a big fan of historical biographies – particularly from the 16th and 17th centuries. Well imagine how quickly I fell in love with this historical fiction dedicated to Mary Boleyn, King Henry’s original choice as mistress – as opposed to Mary’s older sister Anne. The fact and fiction blend so seamlessly that I never doubted a word I read. It took forever to read but is well worth the effort. A fantastic read!
