I ran across the good old agonized Christian proto-existentialist several times in school. Now I’ll fill in the gaps at my leisure. His prose is perhaps the best of all major philosophers I’ve encountered, incidentally. Very gripping and clear. I don’t agree with a lot of his ideas(he asked excellent questions, didn’t answer them so well) but you’ve got to give him points for taking his shit seriously, and writing passionately about it.
