This book is amazing. It’s incredibly pure and beautiful. I don’t know that it’s a great literary work on par with Ulysses, but it’s so easy to love that I like it better. I first read it when I was 7 or 8 I think, and it enchanted me.

There are a number of books I consider responsible for creating a love of reading and language that has more than served me well; this is one of them. It’s one book I will always have with me, wherever I live. There aren’t enough wonderful things I can think to say about it!
