For some reason, I have seen this every year for the past 15 years. It is an excellent movie about a biracial young lady who is trying to find herself within complexities of life back in the 1950s. She has an identity crisis because she looks more white than black. The actor who plays this biracial young lady is not bircial but white, however, she does a heck of a job in the movie. However, if you have the chance, see the original version made in either the late 30s. It is in black and white. I saw that one about 5 years ago.
