i read the book with an appetite. it was the first book i used my now standard method of reading: no bookmarks. if i cant remember what im reading, i just read it again. and i loved the book. but. i also love henry fonda, and i waited till i got done with the book to watch the movie. i waited and waited, cause the book is pretty long. so i finally watch it. and…youre always going to be disapointed with a movie made out of a book you love. now i know that they cant fit everything in there, i was ok with that. i just thought the point of the book was lost when they switched around the last two..i dunno, sections, and gave it a happy ending. the book was sad. s-a-d. then they make this schlocky happy ending for the movie…not pleased with the ending. not at all. other than that though…fine and dandy like cotton candy.
