It wasn’t awful but I didn’t feel like it changed my life either. Probably worth seeing once, but I won’t be buying this one….

Best sequences were the ones where Elliot’s character is actually dancing, though it seemed like they made him “straitjacket” himself into a more conventional dance number when he appeared before the judges of the Royal Ballet School. I thought there was quite a bit more passion in his angry smacking-the-wall, busting-the-door-of-the-loo, bouncing-around-the-roof performance than the staid moves at the school. Perhaps that proves I don’t really like “proper” ballet?
