NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I made it through about 30 minutes before I turned it off. The only other time I’ve done that with a movie I paid good money to rent was, oddly enough, The Beach, another DiCaprio Vehicle. Now I just avoid movies that he’s in entirely, so hopefully I’ll be safe.

I’ve been meaning to see this, but it doesn’t appeal to me really. I’ve heard mixed reviews of it, some say it’s great, but lately I’ve been hearing that it’s awful. And it’s been out for ages. Maybe I’ll watch it today, I have nothing else to do. And I don’t have to go out and spend money on renting it, a friend of my husband left his DVD collection here for a while, ha.

Though I think I’ve only walked out on a movie or turned a movie off once, nothing close to this though. Some horrible movie with oddly enough(ha, deja vu) Cameron Diaz. It was um, what was it called…I can’t even remember, but I know Christina Applegate was in it too. A really stupid chick movie. Oh I think it was called The Sweetest Things, yeah, that’s it, avoid at all costs.

Have you seen What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, that is probably one of DiCaprio’s best films. Also starring Johnny Depp, great movie. I recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet, even though you’ve seemed to take a vow against viewing his movies, ha.

Haven’t seen Gilbert Grape either. My DiCaprio aversion is deep-seated and long standing. I had to be tricked into seeing Titanic. Maybe I’ll see it someday, but I think if I ever put myself through another Leo movie, The Aviator would be higher on the list. All that Old Hollywood glamor, etc.

DiCaprio was fantastic in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Departed, and his accent was fantastic in Blood Diamond.
