WORTH CONSUMING!
These are 10 difficult little films. I can’t believe they are only an hour long because they each took me on such an emotional rollercoaster ride I could only watch one per night. Don’t try to nail down a specific film to a particular “commandment” since I think that’s just the wrong way to look at these hard little gems.

"Difficult"?
Emotionally intense, yes, so I understand the use of the word “difficult” in the sense of a roller-coaster ride, but these films are not at all “difficult” in the sense that this word is usually applied to art-house fare (as in, requiring endurance and/or concentration to make it through inaccessible, if not abstruse material, etc.). These films are rather “easy” in that each one utterly grabbed me within the first ten minutes and held me completely rapt until its conclusion.
A masterpiece.

Indeed
You are correct that “The Decalogue” are not like some tedious puzzle that needs to be worked out. They are QUITE compelling on a human level.
I just fear that too many (American) people won’t give them a second thought because they’re not in English.
