I’ve read stories from The Collected Stories of Paul Bowles that I really enjoyed. I read this quickly and enjoyed parts of it, but overall, it was a bit too… ‘60s for me. The writing was good but I felt like it was trying a bit too hard to be outrageous. People have told me that The Sheltering Sky is amazing. I’m going to read that soon.
