Though for the first half of Lirael i found myself missing Sabriel, this book turns out to be almost as good as the first, better in some ways. Various mysteries are all interwoven together though the main conflict still goes unresolved (i assume this will happen in the sequel, Abhorsen). This book is once again about the main character(s) discovering who they are, what their strengths are, and fulfilling their destiny. A fitting sequel and i’m looking forward to the last part of the trilogy.
