WORTH CONSUMING!
The thing about tofu is that it has to be done right. A lot of people who hate it have only ever experienced it plain – and I’ll be the first to admit that plain tofu is plain nasty.
There are plenty of good ways to prepare tofu, but one of my favorites is fried with soya sauce. It can also be really good deep fried.
Also, if in doubt, make sure you get the firm variety. I don’t mind soft tofu, but apparently quite a few people find it unpleasant.

Good in stir fry
Best way is with a hearty sauce. If you have a BD’s Mongolian near you (it’s a stir-fry chain…they cook it in front of you after you choose what you want from a buffet line), get it there. Tastes good stir-fried, also several good low-cal smoothie recipes use it to good advantage. I’m far from a “veggie” but I like to add this high-protein food to my meals when I can.

Great instead of Mozzarella with Tomatoes
Plain firm tofu is great. Try it as an appetizer and substitute it for Mozzarella. Instead use tofu with tomatoes, fresh basil and balsamic vinegar with cracked pepper.
