After anticipating this game for three years, perhaps my hopes were just a bit too high. Gameplay which is unrelated to the story (which is most) was often boring and tedious. I loved the premise of the story, but it never seemed to fulfill its potential and some aspects seemed to be thrown in sloppily only to be promptly forgotten. Standard mode was far too easy (difficulty cannot be changed mid-game), my party didn’t die for the first time until around 20 hours—at which point I had used a total of maybe four items.

Frustrating, disappointing for what was promised, not a complete waste of time.
