this book confirmed for me that the Jewish women had a double burden during the Holocaust..Jewishness first and women as the mothers of the future generation of jews.the stories had much more depth than the accounts i have read by men.much more personal and heart wrenching. I wept as i read some of the stories.
it’ gave a further reading list in the back as well as the authors of the stories that were told.
I will remember this book for sometime!
