Because it’s an old movie, most people feel comfortaable in believing that these kinds of attitudes towards interracial relationships don’t exist anymore. What a charmed life that person must lead and how lucky they are to persist in such delusions. If there were an updated version [“Crash” almost touches interraciality], it would still hold up today. I love the movie because the performances are also superior. You’ll also see Isabel “Weezie” Sanford who is marvelous. This movie is good as a thought-provoker, an entertainer and an example of good acting.
