Too bad that some parts of the script fall out entirely on the fact that Audrey Hepburn’s character – a seemingly intelligent person – turns insane at times, due to the fact that she is female. I cannot see past this error. Yuck.

If one sees past that spoonful of poison, it’s very interesting to see this film; it’s smart, has wonderful colours, Henry Mancini has lent a good hand at scoring a good song, parts of the dialogue is witty and entertaining, the direction is good, the actors are mostly very good (oh, it’s good to see James Coburn act, not to mention Grant/Hepburn) and Hepburn’s wardrobe is very interesting (albeit a walking commercial for Givenchy).

See it, if you stomach all that’s said about women and their “traits”.
