WORTH CONSUMING!

Beautifully shot, and intriguing plot (and subplots) and decent acting. I’d never read Bleak House, and so didn’t know what to expect. Less depressing than I thought, really. I enjoyed nearly all of the characters, and enjoyed hating the ones I was supposed to. Gillian Anderson (of The House of Mirth and The X-Files, who played Lady Honoria Dedlock) and Anna Maxwell Martin (Esther Sommerson) stole every scene they were in.
Comparable to the 1995 Pride & Prejudice, but with better production values.
