I was flicking through the tv channels last night and Red Dawn just happened to be on. I remember seeing it years ago and thinking that it was rubbish, however this time I really enjoyed it.

It more intersting now, 22 years after it was made, as period piece of cold war propaganda. Cuba’s army invading from the south?! It all seems insanely paranoid looking back. So forget the sickly patriotism and view it as the fears of early 80’s America, whereupon it becomes much mre enjoyable.

Plus I was always a sucker for apocalyptic, nowhere to run WWIII stories.
