WORTH CONSUMING!
Maya Angelou has lived a very harsh yet fascinating life. In this book she talks about some of those things and the strength she drew from it. Well worth the read!

Hard Living Doesn't Make Her a Good Writer
Maya Angelou uses a lot of platitudes. She has learned what sells and what the majority of people want to read. It’s okay if you don’t really want to know the deep truth. Personally, I would rather read “The Content of Our Character” by Shelby Steele. He also wrote, “A Dream Deferred: The Second betrayal of Black Freedom in America.”
