Mimi recommended this book to me. It was a beautiful story. It didn’t “touch my soul”, as it did for another reader, but I thought it was interesting, unique, and well told. The characters were well developed and I liked that the story was told from the point of view of an 11 year-old but with the insight of an adult (the same man looking back on the events).
