NOT WORTH CONSUMING

The middle 200 pages are good, though the last 100 pages or so are painful to read… A lot of typical-Auster personal transformation going on. The main female character is surprisingly flat, a “delicate”, “exquisite” and sexual “dragon lady”.

well...

i have to contradict you there… i don’t think that this book is worth consuming – as you said the female characters (not just the main character) are very flat, but also the story is. i think it’s a typical paul auster book, the moon-theme is pushed into your face on every second page… but as always with books, this is very subjective :)
