ok its good, i guess, and for the day, maybe a little extra good considering what was out there. but all i hear when i hear it is a guy who either sucks at writing lyrics, or is making them up as he goes along.
which isnt my bag.

I’m surprised. The lyrics on this album are widely considered excellent. What’s great about them is that they deal with srious things like drug-taking and heroin without making them seem out of place in a song. The exception is probably Venus in Furs, where the lyrics are intentionally literary.
