WORTH CONSUMING!
A movie about buildings and food… and so much more. This is David Byrne’s cinematic opus about a bunch of people in Virgil, Texas at the sesquicentennial celebration. Loosely tied together with the matrimonial search of Louis Fine, this is a movie that connects the most overtly pop-stylized Talking Heads music with striking visuals and quirky characters. At its best it’s a sartorial study in the human experience, at its worst it’s visually pleasing moving wallpaper.
