After re-reading books 4-6 after seeing the awful GoF film adaptation, something possessed me and I decided to pick up 1 and 2 again. It certainly started out better than I remembered it to, but it took a nosedive around the time Potter arrives at Hogwarts. At this point I think I may just skip and go straight to book 3.
