Pizza cooked on a Pizza Stone

WORTH CONSUMING!

You buy a frozen pizza and pop it in the oven and it comes out tasting, like a frozen pizza. But, put a pizza stone in the oven first and let it heat up to 450 degrees and put a little corn meal on top. Then slide that frozen circle on top and set the timer for 17 minutes or so. A thin crust will come out like a cracker, and the thicker ones will have more of a bready feel with a crisp bottom. Much more like a ‘real’ pizza. Great Stuff.

Careful, though

You have to be careful if you do this. Sometimes if you put a frozen pizza on a hot pizza stone, it will cause the stone to crack from the thermal shock. This happened to us and it was a nice mess.

I find the stones work well for making Bobolis, which are thawed before going in the oven.
