WORTH CONSUMING!
Astonishing, and quite unlike any other David Lynch I’ve ever seen. Anthony Hopkins is exquisite as the doctor who can’t quite figure out his own intentions, and of course John Hurt is very fine. The music and cinematography are very old-fashioned, and the pacing is also unusually slow—the whole thing has the feel of a much older film (it’s from 1980).
