You would probably expect more from the authors of “The Nanny Diaries” (well, I did). I finished this one, but just barely. Stereotypes are reinforced to the maximum, and although I can identify w/ the main character’s plight to an extent (post-grad), the book proves half-hearted.

The plot of this story never really takes off; nothing is really developed and though feminism seems to be a common theme, you’re left wondering if you made any progress at all.
