Do you know how weird it is to be in the middle of a book and realize that fifteen years ago you read a book by the same author with the same main character, except for at the time he wasn’t the main character? No? It’s freaking distracting. I much preferred Someday Angeline (Mr. Bone!), but like all of Sachar’s books, this one has good heart and good storytelling.
