NOT WORTH CONSUMING
This falls woefully short of the infectious Chatham punk of “Heavens to Murgatroyd Even.” Not Billy Childish at his best.

Well—I was hoping to suggest The Buff Medways’ “Steady The Buffs” (or “1914”), but it doesn’t look like it’s in All Consuming / Amazon’s database. It’s Billy Childish’s take on early Who / Hendrix, but it’s equally scuzzed-out and lo-fi as the Headcoats. Though I’d have to say that “Heavens to Murgatroyd, Even” is one of the cleanest-recorded Childish albums!
(Anyhow, thought I’d write a comment—your name has popped up at least twice on the items I’m consuming; I see you’re also reading Clifford Geertz!)
