Experts in the fitness industry such as Charles D’Angelo very often talk about the importance of staying active. What they mean when they discuss this is that aside from doing exercise that it is important that you are also aware of ho2w active you are in another aspects of your life. The reality is that staying active is far from difficult and with some very minor adjustments in your life you can really increase your activity levels. If you feel like you haven’t got the time or you don’t know what more you can be doing to stay active, here are some tips which may just be able to help you stay on top of it.

Taking The Stairs

There are many negotiations which we make in our minds each day and one of those is often to talk the stairs or to instead use an elevator or escalators. If you want to stay active and stay in shape then you should always, at least wherever possible, take the stairs. Naturally if you are heading up to floor 336 then the stairs are not going to be a smart option, but if it is just a floor or two then there is no reason why you shouldn’t climb and descend using the stairs. This small change will make a big difference to your activity levels and your overall health.

Walking

So many of us are guilty of taking the car when we don’t need to or perhaps even avoiding going somewhere because we don’t want to walk. If you are able to change this mentality however then you are going to be able to significantly boost your fitness and increase your overall activity level. Very often we put obstacles in our way such as not having the time to walk or perhaps even the weather, in reality however there is always enough time and we just need to change how we think about getting on our feet and heading out the door.

Sports

Another great way of increasing your level of activity is to try out some sports with friends or at a local club. First and foremost this is a great way of meeting people and spending time with your friends, it is also a great way to stay in shape and active. Personally speaking I only go to the gym when I want to do some weight training but in terms of cardio I can’t stand running on a treadmill for an hour. I can however easily enjoy the cardio that I get from playing sports, because in truth I’m not really focussing on running around because I am much more focused on what I am doing on the field. No matter if you like hockey football or soccer, get out and get playing, it will have a great impact on your overall activity levels.

There are loads of ways in which you can help your body stay in better shape, and these are just a few examples of what you can do.
